This beautiful and historic GAR banner was added to the Iowa Battle Flag Project as part of a transfer of 10 flags from the textile collection of the State Historical Society of Iowa. Preliminary photographic and physical documentation has begun.

We deliver programs to students all over the world. Any location with video conferencing equipment can connect to a live program. Participating schools receive a lively 45-minute lesson - a hands-on way to learn about history! Conversations are two-way and questions are encouraged. Participants will examine and analyze the real stuff of history: objects, photographs, documents and more. All programs are based in national and state academic standards.
